The Waiting Bird

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a bird. 
It wasn't particularly beautiful or bright, but it yearned to fly. There (inside it's cage) it felt obsolete, meaningless to everything and everyone. Like a stone: trapped in place, grey and invisible, awaiting for the erosion time would, undoubtedly, bring.
Once upon a time, there was a bird with faded-away colors painting its wings. It looked upon the sky and yearned  to join the happy moon in the sky, to feel the howl of the lonely wolf in its feathers and join in the full-moon race.

She caressed the wolfs ears, his snow-white fur as soft as feathers, his blue eyes blinked in laziness and the witch sat in the muddy ground, her legs becoming stained with mud.

 “What is your name, I wonder?” she asked amused and the wolf nuzzled her leg with his wet nose “Shall I guess?” she cocked her head and a flow of red hair covered part of her face. She
